Benchmark Education, a growing educational publishing and technology company, is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support its Customer Service and Marketing Services departments, located in West Nyack, NY.
This position will start as a temporary job, but has the potential to become permanent.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Help prepare and submit product information to the NY City Board of Education;
- Gather data and prepare weekly and monthly reports;
- Track and traffic paperwork;
- Prepare component checklists;
- Maintain various spreadsheets;
- Prepare and organize mailing labels for complex shipments.
We are looking for someone proactive, who anticipates needs and takes the initiative to see projects through to completion. You should be comfortable shifting priorities throughout each day as you juggle a variety of tasks. You’ll need excellent computer skills (especially in Excel), the ability to multitask, and good judgment. This position involves heavy data entry, so accuracy is critical.
The successful candidate must have at least two years of experience supporting a fast-paced, busy office. You should be highly organized; have very strong Microsoft office skills; and be extremely detail-oriented, deadline-driven and accurate, with a strong aptitude for math. You’ll need to roll up your sleeves and pitch in to make sure things run smoothly.
A positive, professional demeanor will be key to your success. Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful but not required.
