A typical day at work would be to perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Conducted benefits enrollment for new employees.
Verified I-9 documentation and maintains books current.
Submitted online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks.
Performed payroll/benefit-related reconciliations to General Ledger and other accounts.
Assisted the HR Director with various research projects and/or special projects.
Assisted with recruitment and interview process.
Assisted with the various employee discount coupons by contacting companies for coupons as directed by HR Manager.
Scheduled meetings and interviews as requested by HR Manager.
Scheduled conferences by reserving facilities at local hotels and/or restaurants.
Made photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
Filed papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
Assisted or prepares correspondence. Prepared new employee files.
Processed mail. Performed other duties as assigned.
The best part of the job was learning new HR procedures and regulations and computer training seminars.
