We later developed an all plastic ribbon called "Splendorette®," which is still widely used for decorative packaging in the United States and many foreign countries. Splendorette® is marketed for retail sales through leading mass merchandisers, chain and variety stores, and through wholesale outlets for the packaging, floral and craft trades.

In 1993, Berwick was acquired by CSS Industries, Inc., a publicly owned company whose common stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. CSS also owns The Paper Magic Group, which has headquarters in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Cleo, located in Memphis, Tennessee.
