The hiring process at Beryl gives the pretense that you'll be helping people while gathering some marketing data for hospitals. The emphasis and reality, however, is just the opposite. They focus entirely on gathering the marketing data, since that's what they are paid for. If you're able to help the caller, as well, that's just a bonus, not a requirement. They also require you to follow a process called Local Presence, in which you are to mislead the caller into thinking you are at the hospital and a local to the area. If you fail to do this, regardless of the ethics involved, you can get into trouble.
