Pros: free lunches, discount on bed and breakfast
Cons: long hours, split shift
On a typical day i would either open the bar in the morning and deal with setting up the bar and the overall running and serving of guests at lunch time, or come in for night time and deal with all dinner covers until 9 and then cover the bar for residents and members of the public whilst making sure i get things set up for the morning as in the summers – more... its so busy they is not a lot of time to get things organized for the next day .
I have learned excellent customer service skills and developed my confidence. I enjoy working as part of my team and we all work together to help each other out when ever possible.
The hardest part of my job is during the summer months as i could be doing up to 13 hour straight shifts or working 7am - 12 then back in at 6pm - 12pm.
Things i enjoy most about my job is dealing with the public as your always meeting someone new and the people i work with. – less
