Big Ass Fans are designed to last. Our fans use ten blades operating at slow speeds to move large volumes of air. Sure it would be less expensive to build our fans if we lowered the number of blades and compensated by increasing the operating speed, but that would decrease the life and sustainability of the fan.
The built to last design philosophy – more... is also why our fans utilize oversized bearings, sealed gearboxes, and stronger output shafts. Hence the reason that our motors and gearboxes come with 10 year warranties and our hubs and blades come with lifetime warranties.
