Cook/Dishwasher (Former Employee) – Alpena, MI – January 3, 2018
I have never in my life had a worse manager, I am a workaholic quiet and hardly slow down in my normal life. She would call me from her house while watching me on the cameras to tell me that I needed to do something. While I already had a list of all of the things she wanted me to do in order and I hadn't got to what she wanted done yet.
Waitress (Former Employee) – Houghton Lake, MI – January 1, 2018
I truly enjoyed working for Big Boy in Houghton Lake. The owners were good to their employees. I feel like I was successful working there. It's a shame that it closed down to become Mikey's Restaurant on October 12th 2016
Server (Current Employee) – Mount Pleasant, MI – October 8, 2017
Big Boy is an okay place to work for minors if you don't have to pay bills. As a minor you don't get more than twenty hours and the tips are not very great, however if you are working to spend it is an okay place to work.
WAITRESS (Former Employee) – Grand Blanc, MI – September 29, 2017
I was always on my feet assisting tables and helping customers. I learned how to work and multi-task at a fast-pace. Management wasn't horrible, but could have been better for employees. Everybody worked as a team. The hardest part was being on my feet the entire time with bad shoes. The most enjoyable part was working with good-willed people and satisfying customers.
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) – Greenville, MI – June 17, 2017
Not a good place to work. People and family not important to them. I worked there for 5 years and my sister worked there 20 and owner sold business and new owners fired us both and hired younger kids to work for half the money.
Host (Former Employee) – Cheboygan, MI – May 16, 2017
I would get to work organize the menus along with the different sections of the restaurant. When we got busy I would help the servers with their tables if they were falling behind on orders by getting the customers their drink orders
