A typical day at work consists of reviewal of my script that I perform for elementary school children K-5 dealing with various science projects from creating polymers, discussing light and sound, or doing cool heated projects like making cotton candy. I have learned that I love being an instructor and a performer and that children make for a fantastic audience. I am usually out on my own at the schools, so I only see my co-workers at the end of the week, weekly meetings. Everyone is full of energy and we share our "good, bad and ugly" stories for the week and receive increased training for other new science projects. The hardest part of the job is that I rarely receive a full-time schedule as it is part-time work, thereby making it fairly difficult to see a long term future with the company. The most enjoyable part of the job is the interaction with the children and watching them learn something that they did not know before I walked into the door.
Management changes rather frequently, yet I do not allow this to take away from my responsibility to always be AT MY BEST.
