A typical day at work consisted of checking children in and out of the Kids Club. We were responsible for watching the kids, ensuring their safe environment, and keeping them entertained while their parents utilized gym facilities.
While I was there I became more comfortable handling children as young as 6 weeks old to 12 years of age. I learned typical behaviors of these age groups and how to deal with them appropriately.
During my time there, due to the fact that most employees were high school and college age girls, there was a lot of cattiness and drama among the employees which resulted in meetings with the supervisor or manager on how to handle these sorts of situations.
The hardest part of the job was dealing with the parents.
The most enjoyable part of the job was playing with the children and making an impact on their life.
