About BigCommerce

We’re Bigcommerce, nice to meet you! We’re a hyper-growth company that’s gone from small startup to more than 350 employees, 50,000+ clients, nearly $3 billion in sales made through our platform and raised $75M in VC funding — all in just four years. And that’s a good start. But we won’t be satisfied until we’ve made it dead simple for everyone in the world to build a successful business.

We’re a group of smart, passionate people on a mission, and we’re looking to hire even more A players who get sh*t done. In addition to working with the best of the best and feeling great about what you do, life at Bigcommerce comes with some pretty sweet perks, like:
- An opportunity to be both emotionally and financially invested in the fast-growing company in an incredibly fast-growing space
- Knowing you are democratizing e-commerce by helping small businesses owners realize their dreams of selling online
- Three especially cool offices in Sydney, Austin and San Francisco
- A fully stocked kitchen and beer fridge
- Excellent insurance and other benefits
- A fast-paced yet fun environment where we celebrate and reward success

  • We have killer ping pong tournaments here
  • No boring waiting room areas around this office
  • Work Hard / Play Hard in our killer game room
  • The kitchen/bar at Bigcommerce's Austin office

Really gone down hill
Sales, Austin, TX - April 6, 2015
It used to be about employees, culture and more importantly, our customers. But in the last 9 months it's really gone down the toilet. Built out a huge team in San Francisco ($$) that has developed big features that haven't proven to be valuable for us or our clients. Lots of excitement around the new San Francisco team and management but it's been all talk.

Not even treating the veterans that built the company (those of us in Austin and Sydney) with the same respect and equal appreciation as San Francisco. Example; free lunches every day in SF. Seems silly to point out but why one group and not everyone? There are many days a lot of us don't have time to leave the office for lunch so we're stuck with cereal.

It's sad how it used to be a fun and rewarding place to work. With the vast turn over it's nowhere near the same company as when I joined.
