Need new management
Quality Control Analyst (Microbiology) (Former Employee), Durham, NC – May 8, 2013
New management in QC sucks!! No values or employee incenitives. They say employees are our greatest assests...but apparently the new management didn't get the memo. I think they should be more sensitive to employees and let them no when they are achieving goals.

Customer Account Specialist (Current Employee), Durham, NC – February 20, 2013
Pros: lunch allowance
Cons: no run to grow
There is no room for advancement it is basically taking calls and placing order. Not a lot of organization with in the company and they work off of the good old boy system.

If you like to be a mute with general politeness and adequate soft skills you will go far. But if you were like myself and have an actual personality, you will not be tolerated nor liked. Management tries to make you feel at home but fails to notice the small person.
nothing hard about this job.

Customer Account Specialist (Former Employee), Durham, NC – June 10, 2012
Pros: free tea
Cons: short lunches
I would get to my desk 15 minutes early, sit down and review the e-faxes to be completed. I would then grab the ones I need and begin working. I would usually stay overtime to make sure that the que was empty.

The most enjoyable part of my job was taking on tasks to help others.

The media production department was a zoo. I don't even think a degree was required for any of those positions.
Process Technician (Former Employee), Hazelwood, MO – April 17, 2012
Pros: free lunches
Cons: long hours
A typical day at work in the media production lab consisted of performing operator or observer duties in the preparation of media used in medical technology devices.

Aside from being more labor intensive than one would expect of a process technician position the job was relatively simple. You are not likely to be using any of the skills acquired in – more... the media production lab in any other pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity. I would doubt that a college degree would even be required to work in that media lab department.

The management was clueless. The management did not know how to run the department so pretty much acted on the leeds given them by overly ambitious and incompetent subordinates. I may be repeating myself in saying that the co-workers were not of a professional or intellectual caliber. Procedures would only be enforced if you were not one to stroke the egoes of the insecure supervisors or if the supervisors feared that you would do a better job of adding value to the department than they themselves.

Again, the job was relatively simple. It required more physical stamina than mental prowess. The hardest part of the job was having to deal with the fact that there would not be opportunities for advancement. As the shift support leads and supervisors suffered from job insecurity, they were always on the lookout for those approaching fast from the rear. The reason for the high turnover rate in the media lab department is the release of highly qualified employees by lesser qualified management. The only way to advance was if the supervisors and managers were promoted. And they don't appear to be going anywhere.

The most enjoyable part of the job was going home. – less
