Sales Representative (Current Employee), St. Louis, MO – June 16, 2014
The company as a whole is a pretty good company. They provide awesome benefits but their commission structure is terrible. They only have 3 products and none in the works. Not much room for growth and not a company to start a career with. Their management is terrible. They do not adapt to each sales reps style of learning and growing. They are micromanaging – more... and intimidating.
I did learn a lot about the medical device world. I truly love a lot about the job. The patient and office interaction is rejuvenating and was the reason I got up and went to work most days.
The internal reimbursement team was hard to work with and like I said, management is frustrating. – less
I arrive at work at 5 in the morning. No room for growth if you work in Manufacturing. It's a great product that we make, but it seems like the marketing team does not do there job so growth is slow to none.
Sales rep (Current Employee), NC – February 5, 2014
Pros: awesome products
Cons: horrible comp plan for sales reps, major lack in leadership @ executive level
Bioventus is the new Smith and Nephew Orthopedics biologics division. Major layoffs and change of upper management at all levels. It's a very unstable environment currently but I'm optimistic once the dust settles this company can reach its potential. Awesome products that literally change people lives. Sales people are paid 100% commission. Quotas – more... are raised each year according to what you sold prior year plus a growth percentage. Top producers are penalized for doing well as the better you do this year, the higher your quota is next year with no additional comp opportunities. Company also pays on quota achievement vs total volume which is discouraging for high volume reps – less
