Poor compensation and Managment
Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  United KingdomApril 22, 2016
The company was great at first inception but quickly changed to a micro managing culture that didn't support individuality.

The products seem great on paper but more often than not didn't work and achieve the expected outcomes.

Be prepared to work hard for poor compensation with a Managment team that is inexperienced and unsupportive.
Pros
Not much
Cons
Managment and compensation

Providing a value added resource for physicians and patients during their fracture care
Senior Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Durham, NCMay 26, 2015
Promotion of Exogen is unique opportunity for fracture healing and accelerated fracture healing. Being a part of a patients care is extremely rewarding.
Promotion of Supartz is a value added stop-gap for patients with OA before TKR with the most clinical experience and the lowest cost for patients.

There has been some changes in management a couple times which was frustrating but the 2 products (Supartz and Exogen) are very good and do well in a competititive marketplace.
Pros
Independence
Cons

Biologics company looking to grow
Territory Manager (Current Employee) –  DC metro area, Southern MDJanuary 21, 2015
Bioventus is a grounded company in the orthopedics, podiatry, rheumatology, and pain management space. Patient and physician interaction, sales presentations, budget analysis, and reimbursement administration are all part of daily tasks. An expectation to meet and exceed set quotas is a motivation and very apparent in this company.

Company treats employees well.
Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  St. Louis, MOJune 16, 2014
The company as a whole is a pretty good company. They provide awesome benefits but their commission structure is terrible. They only have 3 products and none in the works. Not much room for growth and not a company to start a career with. Their management is terrible. They do not adapt to each sales reps style of learning and growing. They are micromanaging and intimidating.

I did learn a lot about the medical device world. I truly love a lot about the job. The patient and office interaction is rejuvenating and was the reason I got up and went to work most days.

The internal reimbursement team was hard to work with and like I said, management is frustrating.

I arrive at work at 5 in the morning. No room for growth if you work in Manufacturing. It's a great product that we make, but it seems like the marketing team does not do there job so growth is slow to none.

Newly aquired, MAJOR growing pains
Sales rep (Current Employee) –  NCFebruary 5, 2014
Bioventus is the new Smith and Nephew Orthopedics biologics division. Major layoffs and change of upper management at all levels. It's a very unstable environment currently but I'm optimistic once the dust settles this company can reach its potential. Awesome products that literally change people lives. Sales people are paid 100% commission. Quotas are raised each year according to what you sold prior year plus a growth percentage. Top producers are penalized for doing well as the better you do this year, the higher your quota is next year with no additional comp opportunities. Company also pays on quota achievement vs total volume which is discouraging for high volume reps
Pros
Awesome products
Cons
horrible comp plan for sales reps, major lack in leadership @ executive level
