BKF is looking for a highly organized HR Assistant to join its team!
Maintaining department filing system and files correspondence and confidential records.
Prepare and update employment files, orientation packets, etc.
Enters and updates applicant information, training information, and safety statistics into HRIS System.
Generates daily reports.
Assists with screening of resumes and conducting initial interviews for plant positions.
Assists with proper notification and filing of employee medical absence notices.
Assists plant with annual EEOC/Affirmative Action planning and month to mont tracking of actual vs targets.
Prepares documents for distribution on company bulletin boards.
Ensures forms are stocked and replenished.
Greets visitors and vendors to Human Resource Department, answering questions or directing to the appropriate resource.
Assists employees at the front with various HR related needs (e.g., safety shoe reimbursements, refunds for glasses, address changes, etc.).
Acts as the primary point of contact by screening and directing telephone calls to the appropriate resource, taking detailed messages or transferring into voicemail.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills, and time management skills are essential for success.
2-5 Years in an HR related administrative support role
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and have the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Experience with ADP or a similar HRIS system.
A high level of initiative, strong problem solving skills, good judgment, and the ability to deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential information is necessary for success.
Must be flexible with the ability to work effectively in a changing work environment.
