Dog Handler, Manhattan, NY - April 17, 2017
my typical day at work is when me and another co worker had to perpare the meds with the food and put certain dogs on the playfield depending on their tempermant , some dogs don't go on the play field because they are not neuter or spayed or their vaccinations are not up to date , or if thet are too aggressive with others dogs. I clean after them and pick up waste and give them water in different hours of the day . I learn ho to break up fights among other dogs and dogs with certain dieases that are highly contagious towards human . The hardest part of the job is breaking dog fights depending on the size of the dogs. And also how to control or calm a dog that is suffering from seperations aniexty or mounting on another dog or human . what I like most about the job is being able to sit on the play field with dogs and play with them and watch them play as well .
