Productive, fun place to work, learned about various beers and food and got to meet lots of different people.
Wait Staff (Former Employee), RenoApril 6, 2015
Pros: People, challenging myself everyday, keeping busy
Cons: no healthcare available to part-time servers
Great place to work! They train you on how beer is made and the difference between hops, amber and wheat beers. We also learned about wine and food pairings. Customer service is the most important of our job and our focus is to keep them engaged from the moment they walk into the door to the moment they leave. We want their experience to be the best experience each time they come to BJ's so that they tell their friends and they come back each time! Accuracy is also critical. We pride ourselves in getting our food out hot, correct, and efficiently! Just the way we would want it if we were the customer.

Great after the 1st year.
Server (Current Employee), Montebello, CAJanuary 13, 2015
Pros: moderate to great tips.
Cons: exhausting.
When everyone is participating and on the same page, it goes smoothly and is really enjoyable. Some managers could use a little better people skills, but that will come with time.
Over all it does the job and I am happy to be employed.

Good Partime job
Bartender, Food Server (Former Employee), Valencia, CADecember 17, 2014
Pros: fun place to work
Cons: server drama
This job is perfect for college students or parents with children who want to work a flexible schedule and are not the full time providers. Good atmoshpere, bar crowds can get rowdy. Management in the Palmdale location was great.

Bj's Restaurant was a great learning experience. I learned patience and how to work quickly and efficiently. It definitely helped me perfect my listening and communication skills while performing in a high energy environment. The management was great , excellent communicators, and trusted the skills we had to perform our jobs. I enjoyed my co workers and the morality of the enterprise.

Pros: free lunches, lots of hours
Cons: no medical, management was bad
Bj's started out as a really good company. It was always busy but never organized. I learned a lot about food as well as customer service. The hardest part of my job was the schedule not being a set schedule.

Food and Customer Service (Former Employee), tacoma,WaApril 17, 2014
Pros: free lunch
Cons: none really
First thing I come in to do when I come in to work is grab tomato and slice and dice them up. Use for everything I need for the day and for other station. Next thing I did was look under in my storage to see what I need to throw away and what I can keep. To use through the day. Cause I made salads at my job and next I did was stock my station from salad portions to dressing to wotons. ingredients that I will need for the day

Host/ Greeter (Current Employee), Sacramento, CAFebruary 1, 2014
Pros: free meal after each shift.
Cons: short hours.
Bj's Restaurant is a very busy place, always packed and fun environment to work in. I have gained more customer service experience and have learned how to work in a fast paced environment while keeping customers happy. The most enjoyable part of working at Bj's Restaurant is always having something to do to keep busy and seeing customers leave satisfied .
