Members of professional staff are creative and collaborative. Good work/personal life balance. Would have liked more opportunity for growth, but overall quite satisfied with my time working at BlackBerry.

Micro-managing at its best. Rather than actually solve the problem which is there is way too much work and not enough employees, they just come up with the next "great" idea to help... another useless procedure to add to the already unbelievable long list of procedures. Here's a crazy idea, rather than close sites and dump that work on an already overwhelmed staff, hire, not fire.

Everyone I worked was is fantastic, like a big family. Love the CEO, and wish the best for the company. Learned to be a more defensive and careful programmer. Learned to triage problems and bug efficiently.

Great innovation and great people to work with. Lack of experience in management and leadership was a major challenge. External senior executives hired were limited to make change towards internal success.

Once a leading smartphone competitor that dominated the market. This company lost its competitive edge after failing to innovate. At the peak of success, this was a great company to work for. At the down-turn, lack of vision and poor management created an unstable work environment.

I enjoyed my time at RIM/BlackBerry. The atmosphere took a hit towards the end due to the cost cutting and lay-offs but at its peak years, it was a very dynamic workplace with great work/life balance if you look past the continental shifts.
I loved working for BlacKBerry, I really missed this company. Management was great, co-workers amazing, work environment was very pleasant, my job duties amazing. It is unfortunate, that the company was not able to keep up with Apple and Samsung.

BlackBerry was one the good companies that I work for a while and things got change to the worse as the company could not compete in the devices due to the lack of apps. The new CEO is doing good job and trying to recover what is left from company by focusing on software services utilizing security and privacy solutions unique to BlackBerry.

Company's under intense pressure to perform, but team camaraderie and willingness to coordinate between divisions. You learn quickly working under that kind of pressure, not only about your team members and the industry, but about yourself and your own capabilities.
