Before websites, apps and insurance agents, Kansans could enroll in a Blue Cross plan at a variety of community locations! 🚒 It was all part of our earliest members' efforts to work together to educate and enroll members of their community and it's exactly what we mean when we say we were built by Kansans! 💙 #bcbsks75 #bcbskslife #TBT
  • We're having a great time seeing all of you at the @kansasstatefair! 💙🌽🌾🎡 If you're coming out this weekend, we'll be handing out goodies at the gate Saturday as part of our day sponsorship. See you then! #bcbskslife #bcbsks #ksf17 #kansasstatefair
  • "My shelf has a variety of items all the way from a memorable card and candle, and a poem my children wrote years ago, to items that represent my profession as a nurse (Precious Moments nurse figurines and bears dressed in scrubs). I also display my Quest relics as a way of remembering an
awesome group of BCBSKS co-workers. And like many people, my most enjoyable items on my shelf are my family photos. But unlike most people, my pictures aren't updated! The pictures of my "young children" are a constant reminder that time flies so fast and to make every second count. In the words of Kenny Chesney, 'Don't blink'." - Michelle Shima, RN, MSN, BCBSKS corporate health services administrator #shelfie #bcbskslife #bcbsks
  • Finding time to go to the gym or do a strenuous workout can seem like too much to fit into your already full day, but some BCBSKS employees have found that all they need to do to get their exercise in is simple - walk! 🚶‍♀️
1️⃣ "I walk most every day during both my breaks and at lunch, either on the treadmill in the gym, in the tunnel or outside. I try to walk in the evenings and weekends outside at home when it's not too hot or cold. I love to be outside, so it's always good to get out enjoy the fresh air. - BCBSKS medical review analyst Karen Ehrhart
2️⃣ "I feel that my stress level has decreased by walking consistently. I feel better about myself and it is an activity that I carve out time for at least six days a week." BCBSKS membership specialist Karla Means
3️⃣ "My favorite way to walk is either on a treadmill or in the tunnel and I usually walk alone because I can concentrate on making it intense." - BCBSKS developer Sue Masilamani
4️⃣ "You only have one body so you need to take care of it and walking is a cheap, easy way to do it." - BCBSKS corporate mail reader Kim Bosworth #bcbskslife #bcbsks
