LPCC Internship Position:
Start date August 2014. The Licensed Professional Counselor Intern (PCCI) or MFTi position at the Blue Sky Counseling Center provides mental health interventions to adults, school aged children, and adolescents. This may include individual psychotherapy, conjoint child and parent counseling, co-facilitation of psycho-ed workshops, vocational academic consult, school collaboration, medical consult, case management, crisis intervention and other related duties within the scope of practice for the MFTi/ PCCI supervised hours. This opportunity is a private practice outpatient program psychotherapy office setting. The Blue Sky Counseling Center’s founding philosophy is grounded in ethical client relationships, collegial respect, excellent training of new professionals, through the responsible practice of psychological services.
The Intern will practice under the supervision of the BSCC clinical director and owner, Jennica Jenkins, PsyD LPCC. Our intern program follows the BBS internship guidelines explicitly. The intern will have the opportunity to receive client referrals and also to develop critical practice management and business skills.
We will only consider candidates who have passed the required exams for the CA LPCCi
NMHCE , NCE, CA law and ethics and have applied with the BBS for the PPCi.
University Field Work Positions:
Current Master's level counseling students earning a MA/MS/M.Ed in Counseling or related field currently enrolled in Field Work Supervision course at the approved site university.
