A small, privately owned hospital. With a work force of less than 100 employees, many employees were asked to take on task that were outside of their common scope of practice. I for one was asked to be the safety officer, risk manager and short term hospital administrator on top of being the entire pharmacy department (director, staff, technician, order entry). The pace of the day was quick and there was no time for in depth analysis of decisions being made by management.
