Customer Service Representative I, Elizabethtown, KY - July 22, 2016
I took anywhere from 80-100+ calls a day, in addition to helping customers via live chat. You have to do this at the same time, which can be very strenuous, but thats not the bad part. You're expected to have side jobs...unlimited number. Meaning they can give you a side job based on their needs no matter how much of a workload you already have. But wait, there's more! They don't compensate you for it. They keep piling you with work and no extra money. So someone next to you can be making the same amount with less work. This company has a high turnover rate and I believe its because their expectations are over the top. Before I left they were telling us how the collections and roaming department would be merged to the customer service role as well, and still no increase in pay. On top of that the schedule is awful. You start out at 11am-8pm during the week, with an off day on Tues, Wed or Thursday and 9-6pm on Saturdays. You can't use a vacation on a Saturday so if you want a Saturday off, you have to find someone to switch you who already has seniority with weekends off, which no one ever really wants to do. Half the time the coworkers won't respond to your email request to switch days. It's an okay job to save a little money for the time being and their benefits are awesome. But this isn't something I'd recommend to someone looking to stay somewhere long term or if you have a family because you'll rarely ever see them.
