Bluegreen Corporation is a provider of colourful places to live and play through its resorts and residential community businesses. The Company is organized into two divisions: Bluegreen Resorts and Bluegreen Communities. Bluegreen Resorts acquires, develops and markets vacation ownership interests (VOIs) in resorts generally located in popular, drive-to – more... vacation destinations. Bluegreen Communities acquires, develops and subdivides property and markets residential land homesites, the majority of which are sold directly to retail customers who seek to build a home in a residential setting, in some cases on properties featuring a golf course and related amenities. During the year ended December 31, 2007, Bluegreen Resorts comprised 78% of the Company’s sales while Bluegreen Communities represented 22% of sales. It also generates significant interest income through its financing of individual purchasers of VOIs and, to a nominal extent, homesites sold by Bluegreen Communities.
