Furnace Operator / Forklift Operator, Northlake, IL - September 7, 2015
A day at work is piece of cake! The job is easy as long as you keep in touch with the workers because somehow they will help you and its more easier when you have a good conversation because the day will go faster and you don't even notice the time. We all the employers do a lot of things like annealing screws, loading the furnace with sinks, packing different metal material, putting paste on oil filters, checking the rockness of the screws and driving the forklift to load the passivate machine. Management is kind of pushy but as long as you do your job they wont bother you! The co-workers are good people they don't make no problems at all. The hardest part of the job is when doing kapco thats a company that brings metal caps in pans they come 100 caps in a pan and 35 pans on a skid so we have to set the caps on belt make sure the belt is full and the hardest part is that we work all day standing dealing with the belt speed by the time we are working 4 hours the back starts to hurt sometimes we had to work with kapco eight hours. The most enjoyable part of the job is when we deal with big screw orders because all we do is take alot of screens fill with screws and it takes almost eight hours to finish them so we have the time to relax read a paper, sit down, walk and chill out with the other employers.
