this is a jump start to the child welfare environment. You can grow and learn alot. Love working with the children directly.

direct care
Child Care Worker (Former Employee), baltimore –
Cons: time demands
I felt that I gained a lot of insight into the child welfare system. I enjoyed working one on one with at risk youth to help them become more productive citizens. I was able to be creative with interventions and bring about change.

Stay FAR FAR away!!
Not reporting (Current Employee) –
Management at this agency is atrocious and agency culture is such that employees are replaceable and never valued. Working in the foster care system is difficult enough, the agency and management should make it easier not harder, unfortunately Board of Child Care gets this backwards. This agency is TOXIC, stay away.
