Work day started generally at 8 a.m. I worked in one of many departments; cashier, shoes, clothing, or returns. I helped customers find whatever it was they were in search of, and more. Handled the transactions of purchase. Unloaded freight and stocked products.Re-set displays and aisles. I also went through past and current store returns, calling all companies and resolving the return issue.
I learned to further my customer service skills and got a more in depth look into retail.
The management team, for the most part was very pleasant and helpful. Sometimes unavailable which would make productivity slow down a bit. Co-workers were very pleasant to be around and work alongside. Very helpful and patient with fellow associates and customers.
The hardest part was doing the many jobs that I did and not having the opportunity of advancing in any way within the company or receiving a pay increase, due to nobody getting paid about minimum wage.
I enjoyed my co-workers and the regular as well as first time customers. I also enjoyed working in returns and being proficient and productive in that department.
