We strive to give customers their desire of clothing. I was both a sales associate and cashier for Body Central. This company has a huge selection of clothing, shoes, accessories etc.

fun retail work at body central with helping cutomers it the hours tchanged every week but it was a fun environment

Typical day at work was either opening or closing, putting clothes out on the sales floor and making sure everything was organized and neat. I learned how to take control of situations. This company provides new products and it is a fun company to work for.

A typical day is busy. I learned how to better communicate with other people. My co-workers are hard working.

Open store, throughout the day I assist customers with their needs. Train associates with day to day expectations of customer service, we process and handle new stock/merchandise. When necessary remerchandise store for a different look for customers. The person that hired me was really bubbly I've only been there for 2 weeks and they have a new store manager she is very rude to her employees she does not have the appropriate skills to be in a management position further more my paperwork was lost by them after hired so I cannot work until I get a number I'm at the point where I'm looking for other – more... employment all sales associates hours have been cut but managers have 30 and 40hrs a week but we are working one and two days a week only 5 hrs – less

Body Central is a very diverse and trendy store that has very reasonable prices! There is a lot of growth in the company.

As an Assistant Manager at Body Central I learned a lot about the company, I also learned a lot about myself. I became more aware of my weaknesses and strengths. I was taught how to be a leader while maintaining great listening skills. I learned the importance of setting guidelines while keeping the environment fun and energetic. My biggest challenge – more... was juggling a full time job while being a full time student. The beauty of it all was that I loved my job. Body Central actually became stress relief. When you love what you're doing it does not seem like it is work. This was a very important stage in my life, but I now feel that I am ready to advance in my career. – less

This job was pretty cool, except the fact the management does whatever they want!!! Then when telling headquarters nothing was done.

I had many friends in the work place, but clothing retail has proved it is not for me.

Theres either busy or slow days. The customers are great, they apperciate the customer service given to them.

The job was fun and easy but working there with other responsibilities is nearly impossible as they do not work well with school schedules and expect workers to be available to come in on days off and threaten to fire if you can not come in.

A typical day at work for me was relaxing, fun, and high energy. It has a lot to do with the team of girls that i worked with. Everyone did there job and helped each other out a lot. Body central was my very first retail job. When i got hired on at body central i didnt know anything about retail. i learned so much about retail and how sales work and – more... how to do floor sets how to find out ads and upt how to focus on customers and there needs. My management team was so great. My district manager was very nice and she strongly believed in fun but getting your work done. My store manager she was very nice she listened to all the girls if there was a problem she worked well around everyone personal life. The hardest part about the job was the holidays because we would get so many boxes of shipment and it felt like we was not ever going to get it all put away. The most enjoyable part about the job was getting dressed up for work and the customers, The team i worked with was so great. Body Central is a great company to work for. – less

My typical work day was always busy. Never ran out of things to do. I learned how to have better customer care. The management was lenient and was understanding of our problems with certain retail problems.My co-workers were very friendly and down to earth. We were all new employees so we helped each other along the way of our learning experience.

As far as my personal experience with this company, I have to say Body Central is a great company but lacks in diversity and some management is very unprofessional. The Clothing is beautiful and appealing to everyone. However, the clothing is limited to very small individuals. I learned quite a bit about opening a new store in a new district and building – more... the store up before the grand opening. I learn to work as a cashier and how to work multiple positions at once. I worked really hard to prove myself as a great addition to the team. I was happy to have made almost $1,000 in about 4 weeks. – less

This was my first real job and I LOVED IT!
Managers, discount, moral, co-workers, everything was great for a first job. At that time we were unable to wear flats which was kind of painful on the feet considering we were standing on tile floors for hours at a time in heels... not too comfortable.
It was good for my age at the time.

A typical day at Body Central was a fun & fashionable day and it was a store where you could shop all day for any wardrobe. I've learned a lot from leadership, people skills, and motivational skills to management skills, figures, and fashion. Management was a great team of young lady's set out to give great customer service and made sure the customer – more... as well as the sale associates were taking care of. The hardest part of the job I would say was the days we would miss are quota, I felt I wasn't doing my job, but I would make sure we made up for it before the week ended. The most enjoyable part of the job was satisfying the customer and seeing the come back every time ready to see the latest fashion in the store. – less
