Working at Booz Allen Hamilton

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Booz Allen Hamilton? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Booz Allen Hamilton?

I am a recent grad with a bachelors degree and secret clearance trying to obtain employment with Booz Allen. I was referred to the company and within a day of the recruiter receiving my resume, she called to set up an interview for later this week. I am very surprised by the speed at which this is going seeing as I have had no phone interview (just the call for the interview time) and the recruiter stated that this will be a one time interview and after that the decision will be made. I am hoping the speed of all of this is a good sign that they are interested and was wondering what I should expect from the interview (this is an Analyst position)?

I used to work for them and can't find the info to pass on to other employers to prove I worked for them. What is the phone number or website etc to prove employment with them.

I have just been offered an entry-level position at the Crystal City (Arlington) office. I was curious about the dress code for women - when I was there it varied anywhere from suits to more casual khakis. What exactly is allowed? Are there casual Fridays? I'm coming straight out of college and as you can imagine most of my clothes are definitely on the "casual" side - not inappropriate by any means but still unsure. Can we wear nice knee-length skirts or dresses in the summer (no spaghetti straps and plunging neckline, obviously)?

I don't understand. They didn't advertise as sucking during the interview. And the 'Top 100 Best Companies to Work For' in Fortune didn't advertise it as 'sucking'. I just don't understand why that's always left out of the equation.

I recently accepted an S&O Consultant position with BAH. My employment is contingent upon obtaining a Secret Security Clearance. I am recent college grad, good credit, little foreign travel and no foreign contacts. Never been arrested, etc etc. Zero red flags on my SF86. I was extremely detailed with every section and do not believe I left anything out. So I hope the investigator can complete it ASAP. I submitted my SF86 via e-QIP last week, sent in my authorization forms and fingerprinted. That should be everything. However, my assigned BAH Security Case Manager is unresponsive at best. She does not return phone calls or reply to emails. I was informed that the Security Specialists are notorious for losing or misfiling documents for clearances. I have a couple of questions. Being a recent grad, I am not currently employed and will more than likely need to find a part-time job until my clearance is acquired. Since I cannot reach my Case Manager, what are the next steps to the investigation? I have heard that a Secret Clearance investigation takes as little as 4 weeks to greater than 6 months. How long did yours take? Were you contacted by an investigator for additional questions? If this takes greater than 6 weeks to complete, I will need to find a part-time job. How do I go about informing my investigator of additional employment? Thanks

Hello everyone, I am considering a contract job with Booz Allen. It is an analyst position, involving goverment contract etc... However, I am not being hired by Booz Allen but by a temp agency. The contract is for 4-6months. There is no guarantee that it will lead to a permanent position. Thou I am hoping that it does. I have applied for several posistions at BAH in the past with no response until now. Has anyone started at BAH this way? Am I getting my hopes high? I wpuld like to know in case I get a long-term offer somewhere else Thanks for helphing
