Working at Booz Allen Hamilton

Hello everyone, I am considering a contract job with Booz Allen. It is an analyst position, involving goverment contract etc... However, I am not being hired by Booz Allen but by a temp agency. The contract is for 4-6months. There is no guarantee that it will lead to a permanent position. Thou I am hoping that it does. I have applied for several posistions at BAH in the past with no response until now. Has anyone started at BAH this way? Am I getting my hopes high? I wpuld like to know in case I get a long-term offer somewhere else Thanks for helphing

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Booz Allen Hamilton? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Booz Allen Hamilton?

It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Booz Allen Hamilton? Any advice on striking the right note?

I don't understand. They didn't advertise as sucking during the interview. And the 'Top 100 Best Companies to Work For' in Fortune didn't advertise it as 'sucking'. I just don't understand why that's always left out of the equation.

I have an online profile and have applied to many position. Is it possible for someone to look at my resume and tell me what position best fit my skills. I have my Bachelor's in Business Administration with a concentration in HR. And I also will be finished with my Master's degree in November 2011.(MBA)

i was interested in an entry level program analyst(biology/ chemistry) position at BAH the position seemed to be open for a very long time, but now that i am getting my credentials together the position doesn't seem to be available anymore. Did i blow my chances? or do these entry level positions open up every few months?

I stumbled onto this page: http://www.boozallen.com/careers/topjobs/jmo-careers And I am just trying to get a feel for what level of job one would come in as, and in the DC area what one could expect in terms of salary. Let's assume a normal applicant has 5 years of experience and a Master's degree, likely an MBA or something comparable business or finance, and probably at least a basic clearance. Can anybody chime in? Has anybody used this program?

I've been with Booz Allen for 5 years now. I'm burnt out on the defense contracting industry and seeking employment in a completely different industry. I tried finding new positiongs within the firm, but the Career Mobility team is a joke! I've send my resume to hiring managers all over the DC metro area and told them that I want to try new things even if it means applying to Level 1 positions (I am at Level 2 right now). In terms of our 401K account, I am currently 80% vested. Of course I would prefer being 100% vested before jumping ship, but I can no longer stand the work/projects that I do and have been doing for several years. My question is if/when I come back to Booz Allen in a year or 2, then do I end up staring all over with the 401K (i.e. having to put in another 6 years to become 100% vested) or can I resume at my 80%? I would ask HR this question, but I don't want 'red flags' to go up if I ask HR and HR informs management.
