Learning Daily
Driver/Warehouse Associate (Former Employee), Rochester, MNJuly 10, 2013
This job was a good learning experience. My day would start early, delivering supplies to our customers, and finishing getting orders ready for the afternoon, and next day. I learned how to enter data in computer, receive supplies, and put away. Co workers and i got along well together, working together to get daily tasks done. Getting all that needed – more... to be done for the day, orders that needed to be ready for pick up or delivery. Seeing a satisfied customer is the best thing. – less

Employee owned great atmosphere
Accounts Payable Associate (Former Employee), Fargo, NDJune 21, 2013
Pros: everything
Cons: everything
Border States is a great company to work for. Compnesation and benefits are great. They have programs for advancement in the company, management is awesome and always willing to listen if you have a problem. Your expected to get your work done but if you have a family issue like a sick child they understand. Since it is employee owned everybody works – more... together to make the company a success. – less

Great place to work I would still be working there if they hadn't closed down three branches in the Rio Grande area.

Pros: great benefits
Cons: people not where they needed to be to help customers quickly
The hard work didnt bother me. It was the fact that I was the only one working hard. Management didnt keep an eye on who was working and who wasnt. People were not where they needed to be to help the customers. Took WAY too long to get the customers what they needed and out the door. FRUSTRATION!!!!

ESOP company, great benefits.
Receptionist/Office Associate/Admin Dept (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZMarch 26, 2012
Pros: esop company, great benefits, most of the ppl very nice to work with, woman ceo
Cons: management
At first I thought I died and went to job heaven. Then my supervisor left to pursue a different career. I was made promises that were not kept. Which put me in a very difficult position. Living in Tucson and working in Phx. Due to this supervisor leaving, the moral around the office was very negative. Her position was not filled. Instead, her job duties – more... were delegated to the admin dept. Where we had no supervisor to speak of. Our dept was not a priority. They did hire several supervisors who did not work out. The last supervisor and I did not see eye to eye on anything. He harassed me from the day he started and finally I was let go. He continued to harass the female who took over several of my job duties until she went to HR and threatened to sue for harassment. He was then let go. – less
