Account Manager/Outside Sales, CA - May 9, 2017
Bossard is a great and supportive company. The culture and team environment are the best I've ever seen; everyone is nice and, for the most part, helpful. The only down side of working here would be if you are looking for a fast paced environment and one where you can make an impact, this might not be the right fit.
The software systems used are slow and very outdated. To complete your job (in any of the offices) you will need to rely on several people in several different states. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, it does prevent you from being self sufficient and getting anything done "quickly". Everything takes 2 or 3 times longer than it should. However, if you are fine with working a little slower and enjoy relying on others this will be a good fit. Standards are low, but this could be due to the horrible training / onboarding system. Management (and everyone else) is aware of how bad the training is, and they say they are working on it, so this may be fixed in the next few years, but this should be understood if you want to work here.
You will also be required to complete a rather extensive course in Fasteners to learn about the product, no matter what position you are entering.
This Applies to Office Jobs Only: If you get bored easily, & want to work in a fast paced environment where you can make a difference, this might not be the place. Although you’ll be hard pressed to find a more supportive and fun group of people.
