I struggled with this job a bit. It was a good job, don't get me wrong. I think the location is what brought it down.

Intern - Line Cook (Former Employee), Sterling Heights, MIJune 27, 2014
On a typical day I had a least 2 catering orders I would have to put together and deliver. I was so successful at my job, management was considering me for a management position before I had to leave the position.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the interaction between customers and fellow employees. It was almost like everyone was family.

Great place to work, people are wonderful, but management...
Executive Assistant (Former Employee), Golden, COJune 26, 2014
Pros: friendly, easy place to work.
Cons: most of the senior management is weak afraid to make a decision on their own.
Loved going into work to interact with my co-workers.
I learned there could be a lot of back-stabbing from certain employees. You have to be careful who and what you share with them.
Management not very involved with the employees. Moral is low and can't be resurrected, no matter how many with patio drinking parties they have. There is no backing from – more... the senior management for new and innovated ideas that may come up. Directors have been there too long to think outside the box.
Co-workers work hard most of us/them doing double work and then some, causing overwork and stress.

Loved the people – less

Cashier / Server (Former Employee), Indianapolis, INJune 18, 2014
Pros: everyone new everyone
Cons: not many staff members
Boston Market was great, they had a lot of regular customers, and all new customers couldn't help but to leave with a great experience. The food was awsome which always made new customers into regulars, the manage ment team was great they were willing to train all employees in all fields of the restuarant. It was just a loveable feeling working there – more... and I would recommend anyone to the job opportunity. – less

not a very stable work environment
Cashier (Former Employee), Boston, MAJune 11, 2014
Pros: its a job
Cons: no growth and you have to deal with rude managers with no extra incentive
The management could afford to be completely revamped. Many of them were very rude to cashiers and people who work in the back, threatening people with the possibility of being fired. In terms of compensation, when i was hired i was promised the world ( bonuses, gradual increase in pay and chances for promotions) only to hear nothing of the sort had – more... happened within the last 5 years in my particular store. My particular managers never made certain people do their jobs and thus me and other more reliable people often felt over worked after being forced to do jobs specifically meant for someone else. There is also an issue of a manger dating employees and improper activities taking place that leave others very uncomfortable. – less

Hourly Salary Manager (Current Employee), Lawrence, MAJune 11, 2014
Boston Market is a productive company to work for.
The most enjoyable part about this job are the customers, even tho sometimes it can be a little bit challenging the fact that most people go there hungry and are usually on the run.

Food Server (Former Employee), Monterey Park, CAJune 5, 2014

Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee), Deer Park, NYJune 5, 2014
Pros: free deserts
Cons: no health benefits
A typical day at work was coming in and making sure there no customers so I can check if everything is restocked and clean. Then I would ask the manager what my task were for the day and help the customers as they come in and continue checking to see if everything is clean and stocked. I learned that you have to have patience and do your best to keep – more... the customer happy. The hardest part of the job was when the cooks in the back took a long time to bring the food out. The most enjoyable part was making the customers happy and laugh. – less
