Boston Store is an ok place to work for. Your work is easy, but it takes a while for you to move up in pay. The managers can be very rude and want you to do things that are outside of your job description for the same amount of pay. You don't get paid overtime if asked to stay or if you get called for more hours, but you do get holiday pay which is nice. Sometimes you will get scheduled outside of your availability and management will want you to correct the issue even though they caused the problem. If a customer is completely wrong, management will make you look like an idiot in front of them even when you were really nice about getting a manager for them to speak to. The store can get really messy, and if you close, you have to help clean it up in the end. On the bright side, you can meet a lot of nice people both customers and coworkers alike. A couple of the managers are really nice people. You get a decent discount even on items that no coupon applies to. Your schedule is pretty flexible and you will usually get approved for the days that you want off except for when its a "blackout" day(busy day...usually a big sale) which can be super annoying. Working during the holiday is stressful, but it can be a lot of fun -- especially Black Friday. You get a three minute grace period if you're late, and you get rewarded for opening up new cards. The dress code kind of sucks, but if you own a lot of black clothing items then you're in the clear. You have to be up on your feet all day which isn't the best, and you have to make yourself look busy even if there is literally nothing to do in your area. All in all, it's a mediocre place to work. It's good for someone who needs a little extra money on the side, but I would not look at this place to be a long term place of employment. At least not if you value your sanity.
