JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL RELIABILITY ENGINEER
Our client requires an Electrical Reliability Engineer, BSEE, (MS preferred), 10+ years experience in a chemical plant with a solid understanding of life cycle cost analysis and its relationship to reliability asset management to provide instrument, electrical and analyzer engineering expertise to drive reliability improvements and optimize production units, whose primary responsibilities will include complex troubleshooting of process control systems to sustain reliable daily operations, supporting the development and execution of plant capital and expense projects, and application of corporate engineering standards.
Additionally, the Electrical Reliability Engineer will be required to lead/participate in formal root cause failure analysis using recognized formal processes and considered the site subject matter expert in the operation and maintenance of process analyzers, PLC Systems, and process control related equipment and provide practical assistance and troubleshooting to assure safe, high quality, and cost effective repairs of electronic/pneumatic instrumentation, control systems, and analyzers, participate in the design and implementation for new installations and lead the QA/QC efforts, optimization of preventive maintenance programs, lead/participate in key reliability focus studies to improve system reliability, perform in depth investigation to properly identify and eliminate the root cause of incidents, and complete and close incident/audit findings as required.
The Electrical Reliability Engineer must demonstrate a working knowledge of all applicable engineering codes/standards such as ISA, NEC, and IEEE, have a solid understanding of field instrumentation and electrical system documentation (loop drawings, wiring diagrams, specification sheets, and schematics). Successful candidates must exhibit an understanding of business process and procedures, reliability processes and workflows, and be able to actively seek continuous improvement and must have experience in the maintenance and operation of chemical processing equipment and proficient in the use of Microsoft applications.
