JOB TITLE: INSTRUMENT & ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Our client requires an Instrument & Electrical Maintenance Engineer, BSEE, 3+ yrs of work experience in low voltage electrical and instrumentation systems in the refining/petrochemical industry required with a working knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards such as ISA, NEC, and IEEE and experience with major instrumentation systems including Honeywell DCS, Modicon PLCs, Bentley Nevada vibration monitoring equipment, interlock control systems for machinery and related process systems is required.
Working knowledge of field instrumentation including transmitters and tank gauging and inventory control systems is also required and must be well versed in standard PC software tools, SAP, and be familiar with efficient document control procedures and component databases. Critical analytical skills are needed to effectively evaluate equipment performance and troubleshoot equipment and process problems.
The position drives production and reliability performance by providing daily technical support to Hydrocarbons Operations and Maintenance personnel for instrument and low voltage electrical equipment and will be the first point of contract for maintenance issues and improvement projects for the Hydrocarbons Units. The position is also responsible for providing technical support for both small plant projects and for major plant projects and engineering support for unit outages and major turnarounds.
