Position Summary:
Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) is the Housing Authority for the City of Boulder and is a mission driven, innovative organization that builds, owns, and manages affordable housing for over 1800 households. BHP is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented individual to join the BHP Section 8/Property Management team as the Assistant Federal Programs Manager. Under the general direction of the Federal Housing Programs Manager, this position is responsible for directing the daily operations of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program, the low-rent subsidized Boulder Housing Partners properties, and the Section 8 project-based program with a total of 1,314 units/vouchers. The Assistant Federal Programs Manager provides leadership within the Section 8 team and directly supervises three Occupancy Specialists. He/she is accountable for the daily operations and program compliance with an emphasis on customer service, employee performance and operational excellence.

Full time position (40 hrs. / week), hiring range: -$42,000-$51,000 DOQ
Required Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or related filed, or any equivalent combination of education and five years’ experience in federal housing programming and compliance including Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and/or Public Housing programs, Demonstrated supervisory experience and verbal and written communication skills. Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Ability to communicate and maintain effective relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds. Effective organizational and planning skills. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Ability to work independently, take initiative, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and to assume responsibility for completion of complex workload without close supervision. Acceptable background information, including criminal history. Valid Colorado driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
Desired Competencies:
Bilingual English/Spanish. Public Housing Manager Certificate. Certified Property Manager Certification.
