Productive and fun with pool tables
Staff Counselor (Former Employee), Annapolis, MD – May 14, 2013
Pros: paid field trips to staff
Cons: short breaks
There is no dull moment with students who are running around in/out doors with various activities. Most of all it was fun being able to play games and interact with the different age groups as a whole. It is a very exhausting job, but fun.

Challenging teaching position.
Art Coordinator (Former Employee), Camas, WA – May 1, 2013
This was my first job, so I was very nervous for most of it, there were no guidelines on how to run the class. I had a cornucopia of art supplies to work with, and was in charge of teaching large groups- often over 14 students. Students at the Boys & Girls club raged from 3 years old to 15 years old, at the time I was 18 years old, which was challenging – more... to say the least. Some of the children had a hard time accepting my authority considering I was only three years older than them. – less

Educational and fun environment
Internship (Former Employee), Myrtle Beach, SC – April 29, 2013
Pros: being outdoors
Cons: small area
During this internship I was able to work with children who did not have supervision at home during the day and usually had a tight living situation. A typical day consisted of outdoor activities with different age groups and educational activities to help teach new things to the kids. My co-workers were excellent people who ranged from psychology majors – more... to education majors. The hardest part of this internship was creating a relationship with the kids and hearing about their struggles at home and being unable to do anything about it. The most enjoyable part was working with the kids and seeing them enjoy themselves. – less

wonderful place to work with the paychecks of love from each of those smiling little faces.
Unit Director (Former Employee), Alexander City, AL – April 29, 2013
The Boys & Girls Club of the Lake Martin Area is a wonderful non-profit group that really cares about the children who will be our future. We motivate those who need it and give helpful instruction for those who cant be stopped by anything. To watch the future of these children's lives is a blessing and I am so glad I got to be a small part of it.

I come into work with a smile on my face knowing i am helping young kids develope the skills they need for the future, using computers, learning how to search the internet as well as use Microsoft Word and PhotoShop. Kids ask questions and get a helpful answer in an immediate manner.

Youth Counselor (Former Employee), Atlantic City, NJ – April 7, 2013
Productive work environment and friendly atmosphere. Interning at Indeed gives me a taste of what I am in for when I graduate school. The "work hard, play hard" mantra makes going into work very enjoyable. The hard work and dedication that is given is really shown through the company's weekly meetings.

Employment services at BGC
Facilitator (Former Employee), Vancouver British columbia – March 24, 2013
BGC has some great services they provide such as the clubs, counselling but the employment division is horrible and managed very poorly. Your voice will never be heard, management will never take responsibility for anything and staff are always blamed when something goes wrong. Management does not believe in loyalty and commitment and make you apply – more... for positions that you are already doing. It's chaos.... And a toxic environment to work in unless they bring in a new management team.... BEWARE – less

Fun work place, good environment
Camp Counselor (Seasonal) (Former Employee), Atlantic City, NJ – March 20, 2013
Pros: helping the community and children
Cons: heat
A typical day at work was taking the kids to the gym for sports activity. Then go to the gaming area. Following that would be lunch and finally nap time. On Friday we would take the kids on many trips. For example the aquarium, beach clean up, swimming at the Atlantic CIty High School, to a farm where we pick our own vegetables and fruits, etc. My co-workers – more... where and i got along great we understood and fulfilled every task that was given to us. We as a team and we were all on the same page. The hardest part of the job was to discipline the campers. The most enjoyable part of the job was building new friendships. Along with that having great memories. – less
