Brainfuse has a negative work environment. Although tutors work from home Brainfuse policy is to email all tutors regarding issues. Even if you haven't broken the rule or even worked on the forum in question they send lecturing emails to everyone threatening termination. They take the client's word over all else, so even if an accusation is false they will use it to restrict your access to work or terminate you. Instead of providing tutors with support to help them work effectively they are unhelpful and condescending when you reach out for help. The amount of time they allot for reviews doesn't match the amount of time needed and you either cut the review short and suffer complaints or work for free off the clock.
An example in an essay review was a client wanting the tutor to make their corrections for them. The instructions from Brainfuse are that tutors are not to do this, but provide info/examples to help them fix their own mistake. Brainfuse confirmed to me that if a client complained in this situation, BF would support the tutor. When it happened to me I was reprimanded for not doing what the client wanted.
It was a very negative experience that infers a lack of investment in their staff and lack of management experience. Despite receiving many direct messages from clients thanking me for the help all I heard from Brainfuse was criticism and threats. It was an unpleasant work experience.
