The Brandeis National Committee (BNC) is looking for a Development Officer. This person will enable the BNC to augment its fundraising momentum and will support the efforts to raise $3 million for the current campaign and additional funds in the future. The Officer will support volunteer fundraising efforts, solicit gifts, and develop plans to enhance our Planned Giving program's outreach.

Examples of Key Responsibilities:

·Work closely with National volunteer campaign chair and fundraising team in their efforts to promote giving and to solicit prospective donors

·Identify, cultivate and solicit major donors and prospects for gifts

·Write acknowledgment and stewardship letters and prepare proposals

·Review chapter materials and reports to assess chapter fundraising efforts. Prepare promotional materials for use in BNC chapters and for volunteer chairs. Work with volunteers and chapters to help improve their results.


Bachelors required

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written skills.

Skilled user of MS word processing, Excel, and fundraising data bases. Skilled in social media
