Probationary Journeyman Pipe Fitter (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXDecember 22, 2016
I loved the company and if I didn't have to move over my personal situation I'd still be working there. If you work hard, stay busy, do your assigned task, and are dedicated to company the supervision will do all they can to take care of you. Safety is high priority and I never once felt obligated to put my life on the line to try and take a short cut and save the company a few dollars.
Pros
Willing to spend money to make sure the right tool is on the job site.
Cons
May require you to drive long distances without compensation.

Sheet Metal Worker (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXSeptember 13, 2016
Great safety program! Every morning employees spend 5 to 10 minutes stretching and flexing, which is a very safe way to prepare for the intense work.

Several great tricks in commercial duct installation have been passed on to me through constant training from highly trained Journeymen.

Management is top notch, second to none. They work with you, train you and are constantly leading the way.

Brandt strives to pair like minded workers and team them together for the most production.

This job is not for the weak. It is non-stop lifting of heavy commercial sheet metal duct. Fast paced bolting, hanging, cutting, screwing and sealing air tight mechanical systems.

The best part is Brandt really cares for all their employees by providing personal protection equipment, water coolers, quarterly lunches, and the best training.
Pros
Cool free work shirts, tool program, prescription eye program
Cons
Fast pace, heavy lifting, huge multi-floor jobsite a lot of stair walking

No Job Security - Beware
Human Resources (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXSeptember 12, 2016
There is no job security there at all. Management tends to forecast on jobs and bids they haven't obtain making poor financial decisions resulting into lay offs, the Houston office especially. Their medical health plan is a high deductible plan, meaning you have to meet the $2,000-$4,000 to 4 K before BCBS will pay for anything, this also applies to prescriptions.

Service Business Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Schertz, TXSeptember 2, 2016
The structure of the company made it hard for the teamwork. Each department worked for a different manager and it made it easy for people to not be help accountable for their mishaps.
Pros
Large Stable Company
Cons
Structure needed work

Worker (Former Employee) –  asdfNovember 9, 2015
Good place to work. Decent amount of red tape and politics, but this is expected of a big company. There was a lot of variety in what i did each day, ranging from the monotonous tasks to new projects that were challenging and exciting.
