Good management staff, but overall company did not care about employees
Externship Coordinator/Career Services Advisor (Former Employee), Albany, NY – May 13, 2013
Pros: rewarding with the students
Cons: high deductable healthcare, no job security
My typical day at work consisted of many cold calls to prospect new internship sites, putting together mailings, keeping reports to track interns, and helping any other member of my team with their work. The most enjoyable part of the job was helping the students. I loved building their resumes with them and teaching the workshops because our student – more... base had mostly never had the skills I was teaching. – less
Just an employee (Former Employee), Branford, CT – April 22, 2013
Pros: work week is monday-friday. no weekends
Cons: management and size of the campus
The functions of my job and the people I work with are enjoyable. There is never any downtime with the job which is actually nice because your day goes by so fast. When there are people that work within their jobs and they are good at it then the flow of the office is very nice. But the turnover in management happens so often that you generally end – more... up with people being pulled in 50 different directions rather then having any consistency. The entire set up leaves you feeling that you are always working harder, not smarter. The teachers are the only constant on the campus and they are a huge asset to the business. The hardest part of the job is getting settled and learning how management runs and then before you know it you have a new manager come in who generally doesn't know how things work. The most enjoyable part of the job is definitely the interaction with the majority of the students and the instructors. Overall the business could be amazing but they don't value their employees and they don't care about the education, they only care about the money. – less
Enjoy sharing my experiences with the next generation.

I enjoy both the students and the staff. I am able to prepare the next generation of Health Claims Specialists. I enjoy sharing my experiences in my daily interactions.
Federal Work Study Program- Student Assistant (Former Employee), Springfield, MA – August 25, 2012
Pros: i loved working there
Cons: it was temporary
I loved the experience of working here while i was in school. it was a great learning experience of an array of office tasks. management and coworkers were very nice.
Admissions Representative (Former Employee), Branford, CT – July 23, 2012
Cons: benefits, pay, managers
A typical day of work involves you harassing people all day- you need to call the same people every day and try to convince them that they are a loser and need to return to school to better themselves. You telemarket all day long- very little student interaction. Once your student is enrolled they no longer want you to talk to them and only focus on – more... acquiring new students. There was really nothing enjoyable about this job. The pay is terrible and what they dont tell you is that your base salary includes the overtime your forced to do- every other Saturday. They lie and tell you that you'll receive a bonus for each student you enroll who graduates- well I never saw a penny. The turn over is VERY high- but in the interview they will tell you that they are growing rapidly. You also need to enroll a min. of 5 students a week to keep your job although they want you to shoot for 10. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with this company- a huge waste of time, and they do not value their employees at all regardless of what your position is. – less
Staff (Former Employee), Albany, NY – April 23, 2012
During my employment I really enjoyed my interaction with the students and most of the staff within the school. In employee relations, the parent company was only average in meeting my expectations and the management was biased in many ways.
