Productive and fun
Assistant Manager (Current Employee), Irving, TXOctober 9, 2014
Pros: being around people the customers
Cons: pay and benifits
Open the store and get it ready for the day's business, wait on customers and check in the truck or place an truck order. Count tills. Make sure all the policies are followed. The store manager is not the best he don't care about things that happen. I work with a lot of people that care about the store and the customers. My hardest part of my job is – more... seeing the hard work that we do in the mornings that don't get done at night. I enjoy the customers they make that day. – less

Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee), Claremore, OKOctober 9, 2014
Pros: discounts on all merchandise
Cons: it can sometimes be hard for part time employees to get enough hours to cover the cost of living.
Braum's is a great company to work for. They offer excellent benefits to management and fulltime employees. They also offer competitive pay rates for their part time employees.
My coworkers and worked hard together. We created systems and bonds that helped to keep the workplace flowing adequately. I remain friends with many of my former coworkers.

assistant night manager (Former Employee), dallas, tXOctober 6, 2014
this company has an antiquated and dysfunctional business model. sthey don' seem st realize its not q950 anymore.
I was an assistant manager. They put tremendous expectations on management but don't provide staff and resources to meet expectations. Wrk/life glanced was non existent, not knowing from one week to the next what days I would be working. – more... Of course the Gm always had a weekend day off.
Braums doesn't value hardworking decent responsible workers.SThey value employees who are willing to play games, engage in company politics and lie and scheme to make a full bonus. This was the most negative work experience of my life. – less

Fast Food Supervisor (Former Employee), Wichita, KSSeptember 25, 2014
I loved working with the teens that worked there and I loved the customers but there was some management problems I didn't like. Specifically like them favoring some co-workers over others, dealing with harassment and the store manager not handling the situation. The pay could've been better as the management rotation schedules I never had a full weekend – more... off. – less

Growing company with all the pains that come with it.
Shift Manager (Former Employee), Tulsa, OKSeptember 17, 2014
Pros: great pay, good food
Cons: poor management, no breaks, lack of organization and proper training
Working for Braums was one of the worst decisions of my life. Management on corporate level showed fierce unprofessionalism. The organization, if you could called it that was NOT organized! It wasn't the fact that they had extremely unrealistic goals for service times, or the fact that I worked with drunkards and ex-felons, it was the facts that there – more... was a clear disconnect of store and corporate. Corporate seemed oblivious to what was going on in our store, and other stores around us. – less

Good job for fast food
General Manager (Former Employee), Fort Worth, TXSeptember 5, 2014
Pros: awesome hours for salaried managers, only 45. pay is great for the hrs required
Cons: extreme corporate structure, the goofy stuff that you write people up for.
Extreme corporate structure, I recall giving write ups for things like not hitting ticket averages, not selling enough shakes. These were the actions I was instructed to take from my supervisor so it comes from above. It's a very old style of managing but I guess it works for them.
You won't find a better schedule in this type of industry if you follow – more... the company schedule. If you learn and follow the rules it is a very pleasant job, if not you will defiantly hate it. – less
