 Surpass sales goals by over 70% through identifying and selling financial products beneficial to customers’ needs.

Ehh
Universal Banker (Former Employee) –  St. Cloud, MNOctober 19, 2017
Even if you are promised that you will move up, they just tell you that to keep you happy. No advancement opportunities whatsoever. Boring and slow-paced. If you prefer to spend most of your day gossiping with coworkers, this is the job for you. If you like to actually feel like you accomplished something productive, look somewhere else. Management does not give any performance feedback, raises are laughably low, and the company is not family friendly at all.
Pros
The insurance can't be beat
Cons
Not family friendly, low raises, slow-paced, boring

Bank Teller/Personal Banker (Former Employee) –  Brooklyn Park, MNSeptember 27, 2017
Bremer is great and really invests in its community. However, it is not a company that you can really grow with as it is so small and will remain that way since it is owned by it's non-profit.

Client Service Associate (Current Employee) –  Marshall, MNSeptember 13, 2017
I've worked here for 2 years and have loved it. You really get to know the clients very well and it's not hard to start referring to them by their first name. All my co-workers were a delight to work with and you really learn a lot as a teller. Days can drag when the bank is slow, but Fridays always fly by.
Pros
Great environment and competitive pay
Cons
Slow Days

The company has a lot of long term employees, which is good and bad. The good is that they retain their employees. The bad is there isn't a lot of room for advancement

Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) –  Twin Cities, MNAugust 1, 2017
Various customer service duties, data entry, phone calls, support to internal and external clients, ability to work independently and use your own judgement.
Pros
Pto, Flexibility
Cons
Lack of recognition unless you were one of the favorites, Overworked, understaffed and the manager was driven for their own personal advancement, made it impossible for others to succeed, concerns were addressed over and over to management and nothing was ever done, Co-workers were amazing and made the work day tolerable, Bremer used to be a great company with a small town feel, have lost sight of how important the non-management staff has been in making Bremer what they are, Tenured employees have become a thing of the past and are quickly becoming extinct

Great Benefits, Low Salaries
Insurance (Former Employee) –  South Saint Paul, MNJuly 28, 2017
Bremer offers a great benefits package to their FT employees. That's about the only good thing about working there.
There is no room to move up in the company. They have 100 managers in every department but they are terribly under qualified. Manager training is little to none. The favoritism that is played is nauseating. And don't expect to be acknowledged by a manager for any extra effort. The entire Insurance staff will tell you they do not like to hand out compliments at Bremer.
I've never worked with a more under qualified group of people. While employees have the required education, the knowledge of the industry is poor across the board.
If you're merely looking for a great health insurance package and PTO then this is THE place to work. Otherwise, keep looking!
Pros
Benefits package
Cons
Unqualified Managers, Favoritism, Low Salaries

CSR - Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  South St. Paul, MNJuly 21, 2017
Supervisor was horrible. This place will push unbelievable amount of work on you and will pay you less than you could get elsewhere. Management is not open to change and only promote horrible people. Pass on this
