I enjoyed the atmosphere because each medical assistant was there to help teach you. I loved how they understood letting the student fly solo so they can master their own techniques.

Senior Medical Technologist (Former Employee), Boston and Chestnut Hill, MA – September 3, 2011
Pros: good younger management being hired.
Cons: all parking is offsite for day shift at hospital.
I worked in the laboratory system for 31 years and would go back if only they were located in a warmer climate. For a medical technologist there is a large variety of job settings to choose from. Lab environments are all different so there is something for everyone. It is a large hospital (700+ beds) and quite a number of specialties so there is lots – more... to see and learn. Opportunities for advancement in labs in general are relatively few but I never wanted for more challenge and was unable to get it. – less
