It once was an excellent place to work
Principal Analyst (Former Employee), Princeton, NJ –
Pros: compensation was excellent.
Cons: new system isolates everyone.
When I started at BMS I worked in a multi disiplanary team of scientists, clinical database managers, ect all together. It was a great mix. The atmosphere was energized. In the last two years those teams were broken up and the work became mundane and slow.

Implementation of EDMS (Electronic Document Management Software)
This is currently a wide range of electronic document management systems that vary greatly in terms of simplicity or robustness. The key is finding the EDMS system that is the best fit for BMS electronic document management software needs. FDA regulations, ISO quality standards, 21 CFR – more...  Part 11 and similar requirements help ensure the quality and efficacy of, not only life science products, but all manufactured products that are subject to industry regulations. Successful implementation of effective and proven electronic document management software (EDMS) system can immensely simplify compliance with regulatory standards.
The regulatory compliance of an electronic document management software system is an ongoing state, not a one-time event. This software is used for electronic submission of complete drug submission to FDA regulations such as: file location and retention, document retrieval requirements, level of security needed, recovering documents in case of disaster, archival needs, workflows, document creation criteria, tracking, and so forth.
The objective of this project to migrate old EDMS from Lotus Notes to Documentum – less

I would rate this company 15 out of 10.
Corp.Cashier/Sr.Accounts Payable Coordinator (Former Employee), New York, NY –
I feel so lucky to have worked for this company over 17 years. The company was so well run. I learned so much from them. I think this is why I was never bored. When they would update the payroll system, for example, they would let others and myself get involved. If I didn't buy my house in Wilmington I would probably still be there.

Poor Management
General (Former Employee), MT Vernon, IN –
Pros: the company as a whole is a good
Cons: legacy culture that refuses to change
The company as a whole is great but the management at the MT Vernon site is old and tired and lacks innovation. A culture that believes that how we always did it is the best way and refuses to look towards the future. They also take others ideas and use them as their own without giving credit where it is due.
