File The Brock Group under "heavy industrial". Through about a dozen operating subsidiaries, Brock provides specialty contracting services to refining, power, and chemical industries, primarily in the US. It offers maintenance and turnaround services including scaffolding, insulation, coating, environmental remediation, and disaster response. Brock also provides offsite blast cleaning for machines that need to be kept in top shape. The group's clients have included Chevron, CITGO, Exxon Mobil, Shell Oil, and Valero. The Brock Group was founded in 1947 and acquired by private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg in 2006.
Since the acquisition, Brock has made several investments to expand and diversify. It bought Canadian scaffolding contractor Steeplejack and Xserv (which came with subsidiaries Basic Industries and United Scaffolding). Other purchases include Page Industries, Westcor Services, and Atlantic Industrial. These deals, in addition to Brock's multiskilled in-house staff, helps make Brock less vulnerable to market ups and downs.
Brock operates in North and South America and the Caribbean. – less
