The duties of the coordinator are to implement and supervise multiple clinical research protocol. This includes recruitment, screening and scheduling subjects, coordinating subject, staff and physician efforts, collecting and processing data for later analyses, maintaining and preparing study IRB documents and complying to IRB standards. Other duties include aiding in preparing and reviewing grants, manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations, inter-agency/office communication, promoting and presenting research at local and national events.
A Master's degree in clinical exercise physiology is preferred; acceptable fields of education are athletic training, physical therapy, exercise science, other science fields or clinical/health disciplines. CPR certification is required; ACLS certification is helpful.
