Pros: multiple ultrasound departments within the hospital
Cons: short clinical rotation
The clinical site I attended was very rewarding and engaged my skills as a Sonographer. With hands-on training and observation of various scans, such as abdomen, vascular, ob and gyn, I felt I received a wide variety of guidance and gained the ability to perfect my scanning technique. All the staff members had adequate knowledge and advice to take into account.
The hardest part of the job was leaving the externship. From patients to staff, Broward General Medical Center's Ultrasound Department is one site that is fulfilling and caring.
The most enjoyable part of the job was the care to patients and scanning a variety of images to physicians.
