We are looking for an IT Support Specialist with a minimum of 5 years professional experience in Windows desktop support

The lT Support Specialist role is to maintain and manage the organization‘s network and computing infrastructure. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading the organizations’ network and server environment to ensure optimal performance. The position will require the incumbent to research, analyze and recommend new hardware and software platforms to advance the organizations business.

Because we are a small team, your ability to communicate technical ideas effectively, in oral and written forms, and solve complex problems in a team environment will be considered.


  • Support our Windows desktop environment
  • Assist in supporting our Windows server environment
  • Create new user accounts in AD
  • Image workstations/laptops/servers for deployment
  • Network cabling including full site setup from / to workstation
  • Install/configure various Windows
  • Installation of servers and network equipment
  • Assist in network configuration
  • Set up printers/fax machines/computers
  • Assist in maintaining IT inventory tracking system and our stock on hand
  • Assist with new user setup
  • Work as part of the IT team to resolve Level 1 and 2 support incidents
  • Actively monitor and update IT maintained systems

Ideal Certifications

  • MCITP(Microsoft Certified IT Professional)

Professional Qualifications

  • A minimum 5 years experience as a Windows desktop support professional
  • Highly self-motivated and team oriented
  • Ethernet, IP addressing, DNS
  • Windows networking tools
  • Windows system tools
  • Windows AD tools
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010
  • Experience with SonicWall firewalls, VPN and access points
  • Ability to clearly document their work
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to support remote users in varying time zones
  • Learn quickly, work hard and enjoy
  • Perform on-call remote support as required
  • Work overtime/Weekends as required
  • Outstanding customer service, time management and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Reports to the IT Manager

Work schedule 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday with possible on call one weekend / month

Must be able to successfully pass background screening
