Fun Workplace
Master Bear Builder (Former Employee), Trumbull, CT –
I loved working for Build a Bear. Time surely went by fast. I enjoyed my coworkers and the customers that came into the store. Everyone had a different story to tell. I felt like I belonged to a family when working there. Everyone was close to one another and management was very cool.

Super Fun Work Place!
Sales Associate (Former Employee), West Edmonton –
Pros: great staff
Cons: not enough hours
If your a full time student looking to have a job that will bend around your school hours and exam times than look no further! Build a Bear is a great place to work with all of the happy and friendly co-workers! I mean that everyone that works there is friends! So if your looking for a great part time job and love children and have lots of energy than – more...  look no further this is the place for you!

A typical day at work is : min 3.5hours all the way up to 8 hours depending and the amount of energy that you show on floor. YOu switch stations a lot so that no one gets boatd and everyone interacts with the guests to develop a picuture in their minds of the store to make them want to come back. You usually get your brake at the 3 hour mark so that your do not burn out by going on a brake to early.

The Best part of the job: The people that not only work there but the guests and the children !

The hardest part of the job: doing at 80 kids party and having the daycare staff not telling us! But don't worry we can still handled it – less

Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For
Chief Workshop Manager (Current Employee), Durham, NC –
This was the fourth year on the list. They are great to work for. Job security is actually great. The only negative is that there are so many talented people competing for the very few spots that open. No one really wants to leave this company.

Focus is completely on money-making
Sales associate (Current Employee), Mall of America –
Pros: customer interaction is always great
Cons: no flexible schedules, no life, management sucks, and nobody knows what they are doing
Build-A-Bear Workshop is a company that doesn't care about employee well-being. If you are sick, you are expected to still work. Schedules are not flexible at all. There is no communication at all between management and employees. I found that newly hired employees had no idea what they were doing even after the training process. Build a bear is no – more...  place to work if you A. want a life, B. want to know what you're doing, and C. enjoy your workplace. You will not enjoy working at build a bear. – less
