Building Facts™ is an early-stage venture founded in 2010. After two years of product development and market evaluation, Building Facts™ launched its V1 offering in the Upstate NY market in July of 2012. The market response has been strong, resulting in multiple pilot projects with well-recognized Property Development organizations in the region.
Leveraging today’s advances in digital photography, hosted solutions and mobile technology, Building Facts™ has developed a state-of-the-art system that delivers a visually-rich and easy-to-navigate archive of a property’s “as built" details. The core information captured for each project includes a three-tier pictorial library of the property build-out, detailed warranty and O&M documentation for all serviceable items and a record of all installing contractors.
Unlike traditional Construction Documentation solutions, Building Facts™ was developed with the needs of Property Developers, Owners and Managers in mind. Significant value is realized over the life of a property by delivering detailed information on-demand to support maintenance needs, building reconfiguration and insurance matters.
Building Facts™ is currently looking for someone to lead the company’s drive to market. This will entail orchestrating sales & marketing efforts, developing an operational model that assures precision delivery of projects and leading the charge to drive enhancements to Building Facts V1 product. As a lean operation, we are clearly looking for someone who has the ability and intestinal fortitude to deal with the many dimensions and unknowns that surround an early-stage business. 2013 will focus on building out the company’s operational model to support its aggressive growth objectives while delivering high-quality project archives in a highly efficient and cost-effective manner.
Key Considerations ...
*We’re sure there are some exceptional, freshly-minted college graduates who have been educated in leading new technology-based ventures. We’d rather know you’ve already worked with one unless you have a real good story to tell. Those who bring some familiarity with the world of Property Development and Management will be at a clear advantage.
*Convince us that you know more about information technology than Office, Outlook, Facebook and LinkedIn. Comprehension of web-based software applications is a good start. Database/Content understanding gives you a nice head start.
*As an early-stage venture, Building Facts has enlisted the 3rd party services of well-established legal and accounting providers in the region. That means that you will not spend all of your nights in front of QuickBooks or RocketLawyer.com. That said, you will hold responsibility for the financial management of the company’s revenues and expenses (i.e. P&L responsibility). You will have good coaches, but you need to get it.
*You will lead internal staff, direct the efforts of third-party providers, sit across from discerning customers and build important market relationships. You will need strong interpersonal skills.
