I worked as a temp as an administrative assistant to the Middle School. Everyone was extremely friendly and often staff would stop by to thank me for filling in and told me to feel free to let them know if I had any questions or needed help. The parents I encountered were overall polite and pleasant, the students typical of their age but they were also polite and respectful.
I enjoyed the day-to-day work of correspondence, keeping track of attendance, processing various forms and felt personal satisfaction at the end of the day of completing my work and feeling as if I did it well.
Honestly, these are the friendliest, yet still professional people I have worked with and those in positions over me, did not lord in their authority, but treated me an equal. Near the end of my three month assignment they all surprised me during staff meeting by thanking me and clapping. I was very moved and I think they have spoiled me for any jobs I get now. I'll always be comparing future jobs to that experience.
And I would like to add how gorgeous the campus is. It's very well landscaped, with beautiful flowerbeds and plenty of trees around, blending well with the suburb-meets-nature atmosphere of Potomac-- and it does it so well that two fawns have made it their residence and sleep in the flowerbeds at night.
