Productive and some days its fun while other days its stressful
Assistant Manager (Current Employee), Portland, ORFebruary 19, 2014
Pros: great benefits, free lunch for managers, most employees are good
Cons: no breaks for managers, long shifts, management doesn't get awards for hard work that they do
Learned how to properly run the floor, to ensure that there are no holes in a schedule, that while they say that you do a great job and then bring in someone else to run the store. Hardest part is when the employees think that they are better than the managers and you are short staffed to do anything about it. the funniest part of the job is when employees – more... want to be there and have fun with working on getting orders out in a timely manner. – less

Team oriented environment with friendly coworkers who follow the motto "serve with love"
Grill (Current Employee), Battle ground, WADecember 23, 2013
A typical day is 100% on your feet work, it helped me learn important communication skills and proper work ethic. Management stays on top of its workers as they should to maintain proper work environment. A friendly group of co-workers that i can also call my friends. The harest part is mostly the extreme speed it takes to get orders out on time. I – more... personally love the work under pressure and love the feeling of multitasking. – less

Cashier/Customer Service (Current Employee), Vancouver, WAJuly 17, 2013
At Burgerville, I was able to learn new skills which allowed me to do various things on an average day including taking orders and cashing customers out, working grill, preparing meals and beverages, waitressing, and washing dishes. All my co-workers and managers were very pleasant and always willing to help when needed.

Fun start, horrible ending
Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee), Vancouver, WAJune 27, 2013
Pros: fun, upbeat, fast pace, customer based
Cons: horrible ending manager
Though the work was busy, at the beginning the managers I had were very nice, funloving people. If things got too busy the managers would jump in to help where needed and things went smoothly. Near the ending of my time there a new manager took over and things went downhill. He was very intimidating, belittling and hired too many people which cut back – more... hours for those who had been there a long time(at the time as far as I know we didn't need more people). He refused to work with my school schedule and let me go because of it. The 3 managers I had before him were fantastic. – less

A dynamic job that I enjoyed.
Grill cook/cashier (Former Employee), Portland, ORJune 13, 2013
Pros: high-quality food, relaxed atmosphere, able to accomplish tasks independently, morale was very high.
Cons: fairly hot and uncomfortable near the grill, co-workers a bit light on work-ethic.
At Burgerville, I was able to do many different things on an average day. I might grill hamburgers, hand-craft sandwiches, prepare beverages, interact with customers, clean/maintain grills and other cooking equipment, and wash dishes. It was never boring working there, and the mood was always fairly light, sometimes to a fault. My superiors were a pleasure – more... to deal with, and my co-workers were fantastic. We worked hard, and we always helped each other. I really enjoyed working at Burgerville, but occasionally the volume of customers was tough to deal with, and some of the food we cooked took a few minutes, so customers were frequently impatient and displeased. I met a few great people, and I learned to be composed very quickly. – less

Best Fast Food resturant to work for
Crew Member (Former Employee), West Linn, ORMarch 12, 2013
Management is amazing, company is really for the employees there. You get Medical benefits as long as you average 25 hours a week!!! I don't know any other company out there that offers that. Plus the insurance is super cheap, meaning Burgerville pays most of it, i paid 30.00 a month for it and it's great insurance. I will always love this company, – more... their motto is Serve With Love and thats what they do! – less
